#HAppiNess – looking out for you

My wife could kill me for sharing this here, but it is the feeling that makes me share it with you. #HAppiNess. That capital A is deliberate and is the first letter of my wife’s name. And so is the letter N – that is what my daughter’s name starts with.

That is my happiness, and how we go about celebrating togetherness. In this busy life, to say the least, family is the one of the strongest reason for happiness. The reason you spend those extra hours at office so that you can get more for the family and yourself. The reason you would love to sneak out a holiday and spend at home. Or take them to a place they would love. That happiness in sacrifices that we all make. Yes, those many and more, for the happiness.

And the little things that you do for each other is what defines happiness. Anything that makes you feel the love, or makes you feel fulfilled.  Like my wife cooking a delicious supper or a morning breakfast, and the times when I take her shopping. There is no other song that describes happiness perfectly so well than the one sung by Anushka Manchanda and written by Mikey McCleary.

The little things you do, for me,
And nobody else, make me feel good,
Little things you do, for me,
Making me smile,
When no one else could, that’s why
I like to sit next to you,
And hear is your mad stories,
I know they are not true,
And I like that we share,
A secret or two,
Together!

The little things you say to me,
And nobody else, make me feel good,
The little things you say to me,
Make me laugh out loud,
And not when i should, that’s why
I like to hang, out with you,
I never can guess the next mad thing you’ll do,
And I like that we made,
A mistake or two,
Together!

And you send me, handwritten letters,
And postcards, where ever you go
And you lend me, books that you love,
And God knows, how much that shows,

The little things you do for me,
And nobody else, make me feel good,
Little things you do for me,
Making me smile,
When no one else could, that’s why
I like to sit next to you,
And hear is your mad stories,
I know they are not true,
And I like that we share,
A secret or two,
Together!

The little things you say to me,
And nobody else, make me feel good!
