Surprise Package for 2009: Massa says can’t match Brawn GP

Indianomics F1 Views Brawn GP

Rubens Barrichello is a happy man. So is Jenson Button, Ross Brawn and his complete crew. These very people just four months ago were having their career in trouble. Rubens was quoted saying on the Official Formula1 Website “I am happy. I have been driving okay and physically I feel fine and honestly, after four months (away), I am surprised that my neck still has contact to my head! I am happy, really happy.”

Former Honda F1, now renamed Brawn GP after management buyout, had been going through poor performance issues for past few years. Considering this, if you see the performance of this year’s car (BGP 001) you would be astonished.

The Brawn GP car has stunned every one on the paddock. Rubens Barrichello finished fastest in the newly-launched car, clocking a best time of 1m 18.926s to finish eight-tenths of a second ahead of Williams’ ?Nico Rosberg at Barcelona’s Circuit de Catalunya on thursday.?Felipe Massa said that no one can match the performance put forth by Rubens in the Brawn GP car at the moment, clearly indicating the fear this new car has put in Brawn’s rivals.

Brawn’s car does not have KERS yet installed and if they manage to implement it, they will be much more quicker. McLaren has not performed well this time, performing way below Ferrari, Toyota, Red Bull, BMW, and of course the Brawn GP.

The BMW Car has not been able to entice Robert Kubica so much already, with Brawn performing so better it just have broken a bit more silence and have shaken confidence of ?its direct rivals. Robert thinks that Brawn GP is their direct rival.

Force India F1 is also performing consistently, thanks to McLaren. This year, the pressure resides heavily on FIF1 to perform.
